Every year, around the holidays, magazine editors search for the latest, coolest, smartest, smallest, biggest, brightest, or simply most perfect gift idea for their readers. Their quest for these gems begins months before the first Christmas commercial airs. For those on the supply side, it pays to catch the attention of these editors — or their intern. To make a memorable impression on them, we designed a mailer that showcased unique NPR products that would help make a magazine’s holiday gift idea section stand out. The piece was part of a coordinated campaign that included personal contact outreach and support materials. Having our Driveway Moments CD collection mentioned in a few key media outlets like Real Simple rewarded us with increased sales.
