NPR’s strategic goal to solidify its financial foundation required the Corporate Sponsorship team to dramatically increase its sales revenue. To reach this objective, the group needed to augment sales capacity — i.e. hire more regional reps, and they needed better, more impressive tools to convince corporations to underwrite NPR programming. Goodbye PowerPoint, hello DVD! A new DVD-based presentation gave sales reps what they needed: from a laptop, with the click of a mouse, or at their finger tip, the ability to play video materials and sound clips, run animated graphs, glide through slide shows… In short, make a killer pitch. The above video introduced potential new sponsors and media buyers to NPR and its impressive audience base. A shorter version was later cut for faster sales presentations.
