In February 2011, SiriusXM unveiled its new website. Six months earlier, SiriusXM contracted me as an Interactive Project Manager to lead the site’s build-out and launch. During my four and half months engagement, my role consisted of three major areas of responsibility:
First, as planner I mapped the new site’s architecture (IA), devised timelines, codified workflows, projected and monitored project burn rates, and managed contract talent. I also led the inventory, triage and migration of hundreds of pages of legacy content.
Second, as day-to-day production manager I kept the team focused on top priorities and ensured that delivery dates were met. To that end I lent my support to colleagues with resource allocation and personalized assistance – from writing to research to analysis … whatever helped the group get the job done.
Third, as consultant I provided recommendations on user experience improvements, including art direction, navigation and content development.
