Center for Clean Air Policy: Web site design and development
See who did whatThe Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP) is a leading climate policy think tank. But its old Web site did not convey that status, nor did it demonstrate the expertise that CCAP offered to policy-makers worldwide. The critical challenge was to develop an information architecture that dynamically linked the organization’s evolving portfolio of programs with the downloadable resources associated with them. The development solution was a set of linked databases driving a CMS platform. Every key content category (e.g. Programs, Issues, Documents, and News) became inter-related content. Now, the new site allows CCAP to update the site’s content and content associations dynamically. It promotes greater “horizontal” navigation that improves user experience and lengthens site visits. In a post-launch survey, ccap.org users expressed a “high level” of satisfaction with the new site.
