In the last ten years, the media landscape has fragmented into a wide variety of content outlets, across traditional and new media platforms. Like most news networks, National Public Radio took strategic initiatives to reach new audiences and adapt to new technologies — ensuring that current and future listeners could access NPR programs on a widening array of communication channels. This animation reflects the vision of NPR’s management, foretelling the subsequent development of new NPR streams, on the radio, online and on mobile devices. It became a highly effective and well-used tool for soliciting new donors.
