Recreating the scene of an airplane crash or a war zone was both challenging and fun. It enabled us to capture emergency and security situations where landlines and cellular networks are nonexistent, and where satellite phones are essential to first responders, rescuers and government agencies. For examples, in the aftermath of the war in the Balkans and after hurricane Mitch made landfall in Honduras, Iridium phones were used extensively by NGO, government officials and reporters.
