To demonstrate the usefulness of Iridium phones and pagers to field scientists, southern California and Mexico provided perfect locations. Scenes were produced to replicate the communications needs of testers, data collectors, surveyors and other scientists who can’t afford to take a long break from work to make a satellite call.
